How to Use Frase's Google Docs Add-On for Seamless Content Optimization

Frase's Google Docs add-on makes it easy to connect and optimize your content directly within Google Docs. With a few simple steps, you can integrate Frase’s powerful SEO tools and enhance your document without leaving your editor. Here’s how to get started:

Setting Up the Google Docs Add-On:

  1. Install the Add-On:

    • In Frase, go to Settings and select the Integrations tab.

    • Click Install Add-On to be directed to Google Workspace. Once there, click Install and sign into your Google account.

  2. Launch the Add-On:

    • In your Google Docs document, go to Extensions, hover over Frase, and select Start Plugin. This will open a sidebar where you’ll log into your Frase account.

    • Note: The Google Docs add-on is available only for Team plan users.

  3. Link Your Document:

    • After logging in, paste the Frase document link into the sidebar and click Link Document.

    • Once the document processes, you'll have access to the SERP and Optimize tabs.

Utilizing the SERP and Optimize Tabs:

  • SERP Tab:

    • View the header structures of top-ranking results and cite them directly. For example, to cite “Why is small business marketing important?” from Forbes, simply click Paste to add the header, content, and link to your editor.

  • Optimize Tab:

    • The yellow bar shows the average content score across competitors, and your goal is to exceed this.

    • Add missing topics (shown in gray) or increase mentions for yellow-highlighted topics. For example, adding “Marketing Channels” or “Content Marketing” can help raise your content’s score.

    • Click Paste next to a topic to add it instantly and watch your score improve.

With these tools, Frase’s Google Docs add-on allows you to optimize content efficiently, ensuring it’s both competitive and SEO-friendly.
